Oh! I wish I could sample your greens!

I cooked yesterday, from 1:00 until 11:30 last night. I'll begin again in about an hour.

Roasted two 20 lb turkeys. Deboned one, and will do the other this morning....then I need to reheat the pans in the oven.

Peeled, boiled, mashed 15 pounds of yukon gold potatos.

Made the stock for my giblet gravy; used the turkey necks, veggies, fresh herbs, and pan drippings. Sauteed the giblets. Will finish off the gravy this morning.

I'm STILL tired...LOL
References :
Got one round of yeast rolls done. Two more batches tomorrow morning and it's all done.

Been invited to two separate dinners tomorrow and am planning on gaining the 5 lbs. I just lost. Oh, well!

Joy and many blessings for Thanksgiving, have a great one!
References :
My daughter got here earlier and I was making a homemade pumpkin pie and pepperoni rolls. We are going out to eat tomorrow with family, so no one has to do a bunch of cooking and cleaning up. It's a tradition we started years ago and we love it, this way we get to enjoy the time we have together.
I hope you and your family have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
References :
This year I'm going to my brother's house for Thanksgiving Dinner. He's marring in January after 10 yrs of Harley riding Airplane building and partying, he's 55 and he's finally grown up! I'm only taking dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans from my garden and banana pudding. I usually cook for two days....and it's over in 2 hours. Traditions are losing importance. now that the little folks are all grown up.
Everyone seems too busy to really enjoy it.
Bah-Humbug! :) Juju
References :
Please! Oh Pleeeezze... Send some of those greens my way! You've gone and made me way hungry.

Seriously the greens sound wonderful... I'm doing a steamed broccoli salad with honey and oyster-flavored-sauce dressing plus a venison salami hors d'oeuvre plate.

The wife has her mince pie done, the candied sweet potatoes in the oven and her infamous cranberry meatballs are marinading in the cranberry sauce dressing.

We are going to my brother's home and will spend the holiday with both our daughters and our pregnant grand-daughter for the first time in years (the daughters I mean).

To all on here... I wish you abundance!
References :
Wow, you have alot of chefs on your side. I made pie yesterday night and will wake up early to get that bird into the oven. Even though I have kids, I think I will be alone in the kitchen, which is fine, as I really don't usually cook. I love to take credit for the good dinner. Guess who has to wash up the dishes lol. (me)
